MEMS' BARCLAY IS AN UVM OUTSTANDING TEACHER FOR 2010
Manchester Center - Elizabeth (Beth) Barclay, K-4 Guidance Counselor at Manchester Elementary Middle School (left), was announced a recipient of an UVM Outstanding Teacher Award for 2010 at the Bennington-Rutland Supervisory Union's Welcome Back event held on August 24th. The announcement was made by Jean Ward, the BRSU's Director of Curriculum Assessment and Professional Development.
Barclay has been a counselor at MEMS since 2004. In total she has been a counselor for sixteen years. Beth holds an MA in Counseling from Univ. of New Hampshire (1995) and is a Nationally Certified Counselor, Licensed Mental Health Counselor (VT).
Jacquelyne Wilson, Principal of Manchester Elementary Middle School, said of her UVM award-winning staff member, "Beth is an exceptional counselor, person, and teacher. She is always there for children and families and provides support and guidance in the most difficult of situations. MEMS is extremely lucky to have her as a staff member - her skill set, coupled with her compassion and commitment - benefits everyone who comes into contact with her."

New Website Launches August 2010
Welcome to our new website! This site is built on SchoolFusion, a content management system designed specifically for schools. This system will bring all of our schools into the same web platform and will enhance our ability to use web-based tools to communicate with the world. We will also be able to securely deploy a variety of Web 2.0 applications for teachers and students in order to enhance and extend classroom learning activities.
